This is NOT
a political blog entry.
But a comment
on LKY's Q&A session
with young people
on national TV,
I was in hospital then
immobilised and
connected to tubes.
A young male journalist
commented that when he helped conduct
a poll
for Strait Times,
he concluded that
there is a climate
of political fear,
amongst the 100 people interviewed.
Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew
demanded that the journalist
provide him with the names
of people
who polled that
they fear the PAP.
Minister Mentor Sir,
I am no cross examiner
like you.
I am not even
a journalist.
But if on national TV
you can demand
pollsters be named,
even if I do not live
in fear,
I am afraid,
very afraid.
There is a clearly
a danger
of being named
since you can demand
for names
as you see fit
on national TV.
Your very action
of demanding names
did indeed
strike fear.
Real fear,
in me.
Again, for some reading,
this is not
a political comment
in election times,
but a very real
and fearful reaction
to what I saw
on national TV.
